ACCOUNT MANAGER (PR/SOCIAL)

History Will Be Kind is looking for a talented and driven Account Manager to join the team. This amazing role will have a focus on PR/communications, with supporting social and digital content account leadership requirements, alongside 360-degree thinking.
 
You will be an active member of the team when it comes to new business development, campaign and project development, best practice and fresh thinking. And, you will strive for innovation, quality, creativity and excellence in everything you do.

 
Overall Role

As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the future and long-term success of History Will Be Kind.
  
You will be responsible for the management and implementation of communications and social media strategies to engage media, influencers and consumers, grow audiences, awareness, affinity and generate positive sentiment across the brands that you work on.  
  
A key responsibility will be to mentor junior members of the team, ensuring best in class client service and on the job training. You will also be skilled in managing up to keep your senior team and clients informed and on-track and be the go-to person for clients, ensuring activity is delivered on time and in line with budgets.
  
You will also provide ongoing robust analysis of results using a range of cross-channel measurement tools, and be tasked with turning this analysis into quick wins and long-term benefit for clients.
  
The role is hands-on and requires positivity, resilience, a "sleeves rolled up" and "can do" attitude.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Helping to craft client communications/PR and social media strategies, and implementing programs from start to finish

  • Delivering content, communications and campaign strategies in line with client objectives through the appropriate channels

  • Providing day to day leadership/mentorship when it comes to client management, communities, press engagement and influencer outreach

  • Driving the reporting function, including KPIs, benchmarking, audience feedback, monitoring engagement & response to content

  • Media and influencer engagement, creating coverage and conversation opportunities

  • Supporting on strategy for and implementing social media advertising spend, set up, targeting, management/optimisation and reporting

  • Monitoring industry trends and new tools and applications and appropriately applying that knowledge to increase the use of such tools within the business

  • Experimenting with new and alternative ways to leverage integrated communications, PR and social media activities

  • Being an active member of new business pitches and the broader business development strategy

  • Driving the Deepend Group marketing strategy, managing activity with media, key opinion leaders, conferences/events and overseeing the integrated social media strategy

  • Ensuring integration with other appropriate teams and partners within and outside of the business


 Skills and experience:

  • 4+ years agency PR experience is a must

  • Must have worked in a Public Relations and have relevant tertiary qualifications or comparable on the job experience

  • Social and content experience

  • Fantastic writing abilities, and attention to detail

  • Integrated thinker

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

The Vision

Your role as a Social Media Manager plays a critical role in supporting the future and long-term success of History Will Be Kind and more broadly the Deepend Group.

You will be responsible for the implementation of social media and paid social strategies to increase visibility, membership, sentiment and traffic across the brands that you work on.

Your job requirements, “sleeves rolled-up”, working hands-on to ensure that social media strategies the business creates are successfully delivered to client expectations and to measurable KPI’s. You’ll be comfortable working on various tracking, listening and scheduling tools and will be able to determine the best way forward through informed decisions based on these tools.

Overall Role

  • Implement client social media strategies, gathering audience insights, monitoring current online conversation, investigating existing social media strategies, evaluating competitor performance and participating/running creative brainstorms

  • Deliver content, communications and campaign strategies in line with client objectives through the appropriate social media channels

  • Creating thumb stopping content is at your core and you live and breathe polished, best in class creative.

  • Coordinate and brief creatives / photographers / videographers to execute campaigns, including running shoots, overseeing the creative process and delivering the final product to the client

  • Develop paid social campaigns and media strategies

  • Work with clients to educate on paid social and manage key client relationships

  • Manage clients’ social communities, including responding to queries & liaising with client consumer relations

  • Reporting, including KPI’s, benchmarking, audience feedback, monitoring engagement & response to content and paid social strategies

  • Manage social media advertising spend, set up, targeting, management/optimization and reporting

  • Monitor trends in social media tools and applications and appropriately applying that knowledge to increase the use of such tools within the business

  • Experimenting with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities

  • Identifying ways to utilise emerging technologies in the social space

  • Ensuring integration with other appropriate teams and partners within and outside of the business

  • Work in line with broader Group Analytics & Insights team on creating best practice, develop additional business in this space and educate both internally and externally re performance and paid media

  • Coordinate and resource out of hours events, Facebook live or other events that require live coverage and social media management

Client Leadership

  • Focus on industry best practice of client feedback, client counsel, industry leading idea generation & implementation and client support

  • Take appropriate action to communicate to clients about the social media landscape

  • Utilise clear communications and marketing tools to ensure the best results for clients

Performance Leadership

  • Take responsibility for the implementation and the maintenance of, existing and new client social media programs

  • Work in conjunction with agency management team and senior leadership in the development and implementation of social media strategies in line with business opportunities in the local market

  • Work in conjunction with agency management team to instil design thinking and social media best practise into key existing client campaigns.

Market Leadership

  • Take an active part in appropriate professional business and digital organisations in your industry

  • Continue to actively participate in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc and be well connected with the broader social media network

Performance Management

  • You will be working as a key player in the growing History Will Be Kind team, while integrating effectively with the broader Account Service/Design/Technology/Innovation team within the Deepend Group

  • You will be working in collaboration with our core agency group, Deepend, Nomad and How to Impact

ACCOUNT DIRECTOR (COMMUNICATIONS/PR)

As an Account Director (AD) at History Will Be Kind (HWBK), you will play a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of the business, and the integrated Deepend Group offer across sister agencies including Deepend, Nomad and How To Impact. 

You will have a focus on senior level client relationship management and best in class consulting, communications strategy, operations, innovation, team leadership, maintaining and growing sustainable client revenue, and supporting new business development.

 As part of this, you will manage client revenue to an agreed value in line with business planning and new business targets. The revenues are balanced against responsibility in terms of complexity, scope, and new business development exposure. You will also be accountable for collaborating between different areas of the organisation, and you should drive the overall success of the teams that you work across.


Responsibility Overview

  • Own your team’s commercial performance, including lead generation, pitch conversion of new accounts, growth of existing accounts and campaign implementation.

  • Take a leading role in developing the HWBK product and service offer, including go to market activity.

  • Deliver industry leading client service through the application of your strategic abilities.

  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentor-ship to the team to direct them towards maximum effectiveness and career progression.

  • Act as the voice of your clients within the agency, ensuring all output delivers on business objectives.

  • Consumer technology, lifestyle and FMCG experience a must – PR & Communications focused. 

  • Working to ensure that your portfolio of accounts is being managed in a way to maximise efficiency and profitability.

  • Using your network, proactive outreach/prospecting and available tools to generate new business leads.

  • Preparing and presenting Thought Leadership pieces to potential and existing clients.

  • Preparing and presenting strategy documents in order to secure new business for your team – leading the process.

  • Using available tools to qualify leads in order to ensure efficient use of resources to win new business.

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE/SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (PR/SOCIAL)

 Are you an experienced integrated Account Executive (PR/social experience a must), looking for the next career challenge, this is a unique opportunity to join an award winning growing team.  Do you have 2-4 years agency experience, great project management skills and strong media contacts?  

Based in Sydney, this individual will play a pivotal role working with the PR Awards Asia Boutique Agency of The Year, History Will Be Kind, operating at the cross roads of PR, social media and digital communications. 

To be successful you will first and foremost be a thinker. This will include thinking creatively, strategically and analytically to create and implement high impact, content driven, innovative communications programmes that harness the power of storytelling, across platforms and devices. 

You will also be a strong contributor, working closely with a diverse range of clients, media and in house technologists and strategists to develop solutions at the crossroads of communications.

We’re looking for new members of the integrated Group team; eclectic characters to contribute to our warm and sometimes, let’s face it, completely mad family.
